Orto in Balcone is an editorial blog dedicated to balcony gardening and container horticulture: guides, plant profiles and calculation tools for people who grow on a balcony, a terrace or in a small space. For sources and transparency: the About the author page.
The starting point is simple: here we talk about growing a garden in pots with a calm pace, no miracle promises and no marketing language. If a topic deserves a detailed guide, the guide is long; if ten lines are enough, they are ten lines.
Who is behind it
The site is a personal blog, run by a single author. The opinions expressed are the author’s: when a technical statement is drawn from established horticultural literature, we report it as common practice; when it depends on a specific source, the source is cited.
Sources and verification
- For plants: reference botanical and agronomic profiles (nomenclature, light, water, substrate and container requirements) drawn from established sources; the profile dataset is the one validated by the site’s companion.
- For container growing (watering, substrate, density, weather protection): container-horticulture best practice and established urban-gardening literature.
- We do not publish results, tests or experiences that do not exist. We never present a personal experience we have not had.
Images
The photorealistic images on this site are generated with artificial intelligence and are for illustrative purposes: they show plausible contexts for the topic (pots, balconies, plants) but do not document real plants, pots or situations. Each such image is labelled as AI-generated.
